TRAINING COURSES FOR WOMEN IN THE DISTRICTS OF BUSANZA and GATENGA
The awareness that peace is built by promoting rights, addressing inequalities and their discrimination but, above all, providing the tools to carry out concrete actions to fight poverty, prompted us to implement a project aimed at offering professional training to women, the most vulnerable, to support them in regaining their dignity and economic independence.
The training courses have foreseen
The project, which ended in 2013, with the creation of two cooperatives – one for pig breeding and the other for the coal trade – has given 240 women in the districts of Busanza and Gatenga, in serious socio-economic difficulties, the possibility of building a more dignified future for themselves and their families.
